The highway transportation is relatively fast. The transit time from Yiwu to Almaty, Kazakhstan is about 7 days, the express delivery to Moscow takes  about 12-15 days, while  the ordinary transport to Moscow  usually takes 18-25 days.

The main collection points of highway transport are Guangzhou, Foshan, Yiwu, Manzhouli, Suifenhe, Dongning, Heihe, Hunchun, Alashankou, and Khorgos.

The highway transport route is divided into the eastern line and the western line.The main transportation directions are Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and European countries.

The eastern route enters Russia from Manzhouli, Inner Mongolia, China (opposite Zabaikal), Suifenhe, Heilongjiang Province (opposite Grodkovo), Dongning (opposite Poltavka), and Heihe (opposite Blagoveshchensk, ) border crossing.

There are two transit routes on the Western lines：

1. The Western lime of Northern Xinjiang: Those who enter Kazakhstan through the Xinjiang Khorgos Land crossing (opposite Khorgos) and the Alashankou land crossing (opposite Dostek,) belong to the express channel. The transit time to  Almaty is 12-15 daysand to Moscow is 18-25 days.

2. The western route of Southern Xinjiang enters Kyrgyzstan through Ilkeshtan (opposite Ilkeshtan) and Turgat (opposite Turugalt), which belongs to the general express channel.The western route can be shipped to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and via Kazakhstan and Tajikistan to Moscow, Minsk, and covers Belarus and the whole territory of Russia.

About TIR:

Definition of TIR: According to the United Nations "Convention on International Road Transport", the transit country does not open the trucks for inspection before arrival in destination. The advantage is that it is fast. The transit time takes  about 15 days in average, but the freight is higher than that of ordinary highway transport.
